For immediate release:
February 10, 2009, I submitted petitions containing 138 signatures to the City Secretary to have my name placed on the ballot as a candidate for Dallas City Council District 5! (Note that only 26 valid signatures are needed for District 5)
The road has been a long one and will will continue to grow! I look forward to partnering and working with the residents of District 5 as we work to REVIVE District 5. The needs are great and the issues are many and moving forward requires a willingness to progress and build coalitions from all of us.

I have said and will continue to say that it is beyond time that we return the District 5 seat to it's rightful owner -- THE PEOPLE! We must also allow the democratic system to work for us! District 5 deserves a representative who cares about the community and has compassion for the people and is committed to the cause!
